changing kernel parameter in Oracle Enterpise Linux

Posted on 11-Apr-2008 By Admin No Comments on changing kernel parameter in Oracle Enterpise Linux

change the file /etc/sysctl.conf for the kernel parameters. DBA generally do this for changing semaphore and shared memory parameters.

Run the following command to change the current kernel parameters.

$ /sbin/sysctl -p

Linux/Unix, shell
